Christmas Greeting from Pastor Rene Nepomoceno

Dear All,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:14

Year after year people throughout the earth go to the motion of celebrating, feasting, dancing and shopping during what we called Christmas season.

It is the season of love, of giving and of joy, as we religiously want to describe it!

But, sadly as the season is over we come to realize, love is so much wanting, people are back to their personal quest of material possession and grandeur at the expense of others. Giving is forgotten as most people rich and poor, scamper to get ahead of everyone else. And the elusiveness of the joy of Christmas becomes evident as everyone is mesmerized by the temporal pleasures offered by this world.

Unless mankind fully embrace the meaning of the coming of Christ on Christmas, the “peace” and the “favor” given by God will remain a religious abstract ideal.

Mankind need to understand “peace” by being one with Christ, “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness - he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!”

Mankind need to understand the “favor” of God, by living to give favor and blessing to others in the same manner as Christ “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

May we who profess to believe in Christ be like Him to re-live the joyous day of Christmas to all the people that surround us!

A Blessed Christmas to one and all!

Bro. Rene
