Who are the Gideons
The Gideons International, founded in 1899 is a Christian business & professional men’s association active in 194 countries of the world. The objective of the Gideons is to win others for Christ through association, personal testimony and placing God’s Holy Word.

Gideon membership consists of business & professional men who believe in The Bible as the inspired Word Of God, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God, have received Him as their personal Saviour, endeavor to follow Him in their daily life and who are members in good standing of a Protestant church, congregation or assembly.

Every week, The Gideons International is placing or distributing, Free Of Cost, 1.5 million Scriptures in 194 countries, in 93 languages.

Putting Faith Into Action
The Gideons International serves as a missionary arm of the church – every Scripture we distribute is provided through the support of local churches and individual Christians, including committed Gideons who contribute generously.

We typically set our Scripture placement goal far beyond our known resources. We then trust God, that as Gideons and our wives, along with friends like you, we will prayerfully examine our hearts & by faith we will reach our goal.

Over the years, we have continually expanded and are now distributing more than two copies of God’s Word every second.

Together, we have the ability to truly reach the world for Christ.
